Who we have engaged with

Due to the highly sensitive nature of dealing with the past in Northern Ireland,  some of our interactions were carried out in private, in confidence. We therefore not make public all of the groups who we met with, or those who have attended our events. Below is a list of the types of organisations and actors we have engaged with over the course  of this project:

• Victims representatives (eg NI Commission for Victims and Survivors, Relatives for Justice, Bloody Sunday Trust, Justice for the Forgotten)

• Irish and UK government departments and officials (eg UK Northern Ireland Office, NI Department of Justice, ROI Department of Foreign Affairs, ROI Department of Taoiseach)

• Human rights organisations (eg Amnesty International, NI Human Rights Watch)

• Political parties in Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Westminser

• Ex-prisoners groups (republican and loyalist ex-prisoners)

• Security Forces ( eg Police Service Northern Ireland (PSNI), British Army, NI Retired Police Officers Association)

• Ex-combatants (former republican and loyalist groups including former IRA and UVF combatants)

• Peace and Reconciliation NGOs (eg Healing through Remembering, Diversity Challenges)

•  Faith organisations 

• International organisations (US Congress and UN).
